Properties > Time Functions

Plot of the Creep & Shrinkage variation, elasticity modulus for any defined concrete element and relaxation for pre-stressed steel can be viewed here.

In the upper part of the window there is a table representing which variables are assigned for calculation of different time depended material properties: creep (PHI(t)), shrinkage (EPS(t)), time dependent elastic modulus (EMOD(t)) and relaxation (REL(t)). In addition it is also shown to which (material) group they are assigned to. Assignment to certain group represents also an indirect assignment to corresponding material(s) if both are assigned to the same group. (Example: material "C" is assigned to group "A"; variables used for time depended calculation for material "C" are those which are assigned to group "A")

In the lower part of the window there is on the right side a graphic representing the time dependent functions (variables). At the top left side it is possible to select which function(s) should be represented: Creep and Shrinkage curve(s), curve for time dependent Elastic modulus or Relaxation curve.

On the left side of the graphic it is possible to see and modify parameters (internal variables) used for the visualization of the variables.

SettingDescription
MaxT Maximum time, for which the time dependent function will be calculated and represented.
LoadTime T1-T5 Display of the creep curve for five different loading times.
Reference Element Parameters (internal variables) used for the visualization get automatically the numbers assigned to selected element. The geometrical parameters are taken from the assigned cross-section and the material parameters from the assigned material.
Reference Material Parameters (internal variables) used for the visualization get automatically the numbers from selected material. The geometrical parameters can be modified; the default numbers are taken from the last chosen element.
Variable Setting If this option is chosen all parameters can be modified. Default numbers are taken from the last chosen element/material.

Note: If the curve does not exist, there are three possibilities:

  • the assigned material has no definition of time dependent variables (CHECK : Properties/Material/Info and Structure/Tendon)

  • the variables does not exist (CHECK : Properties/Variable). If they don't exist, import the files CEB78.rm or CEB90.rm,…

  • the values of the internal variables are zero. If they are zero, check the material values!

Note: The graphic presentation of the curve can also be plotted. Use the action PlCrSh in one of construction stages in the construction schedule.
